The release of Karan Johar's upcoming romantic drama, the Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil might be marred by several controversies, but that hasn't stopped the director from continuing to reveal interesting pieces of information about his film.
In an interview with senior journalist Rajeev Masand, Johar revealed that his current blue-eyed girl, Alia Bhatt, has a cameo in the film.
He said, "Cameos in this film are not like how they normally are. Everyone playing a part in the film is there for a reason, barring Alia Bhatt, I would say. By the time this comes, you would know she's doing a cameo in the film. She's playing a DJ in the very song we're in. We had a part for a DJ who was very much a part of the script, so there was a link about how it happens and I was like, if somebody's gotta do it, then why not somebody I love?"
Alia, who made her debut with Johar's Student of the Year (2012), has acted in several other Dharma Productions' films like 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. She is currently shooting for yet another one.
However, she isn't Johar's only friend with a cameo in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Other stars who will be seen in the film include Shah Rukh Khan and Lisa Haydon.
The film releases on October 28.
