Chetan Bhagat Asked Fans To Send Him Photos Of His New Book, It Ended Badly

Love him or hate him, you can't ignore Chetan Bhagat. Countless fans credit the mega-bestselling writer with introducing them to English language fiction and countless others -- who are not exactly fans of his writing -- never miss an opportunity to troll him online.

On Monday, Bhagat tweeted a photo of his just released novel, One Indian Girl, resting on a ledge in the sunny and scenic Mykonos islands in Greece and solicited more such pretty pictures of the book set against scenic backdrops.

One can almost hear the knives sharpening before a hapless Bhagat even hit 'send' on his tweet. Trollers expanded the meaning of "camera skills" to cover 'photoshopping skills' too, and we can only commiserate with Bhagat on the results and say, "Ouch!"

But there is more to social media than trollers. Bhagat got many positive responses too.

Good to see that being mercilessly trolled over the years hasn't made Bhagat lose his sense of humour.
