Mother Teresa, whose life work was all about giving dignity to the poorest of the poor, was today canonised by Pope Francis in Vatican City.

Nineteen years after her death, Mother Teresa was declared a saint at the St Peter's Basilica, with over 100,000 people from all over the world gathering at Saint Peter's Square. The Indian delegation included Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

"For the honour of the Blessed Trinity... we declare and define Blessed Teresa of Calcutta to be a Saint and we enroll her among the Saints, decreeing that she is to be venerated as such by the whole Church," Pope Francis said in Latin.

Here are some photos of Mother's Teresa's canonisation.
