Acer's Less Than A Centimeter Thick Swift 7 Is The World's Thinnest Laptop

Till yesterday HP proudly held the top spot with Spectre for the world's thinnest laptop. But now Acer has produced a new model called Swift 7 which is less than a centimeter thick.

Swift 7 has a thickness of 9.98 mm as compared to the 10.4 mm of HP Spectre. Apple's new Macbook now stands at the third place. The laptop offers almost 9 hours of battery, Intel's new battery efficient chip is one of the reasons for that.

As compared to other super slim laptop offerings Swift 7 has more number of ports. It gives you two USB 3.1 C type ports as well as a headphone jack.

The notebook has a 13.3 IPS panel LCD display. The company has avoided the touch capabilities on the notebook simply to achieve a slimmer size. Under the hood, it runs on the new i-series caby lake processors chips with 8 GB of RAM to support it. The laptop will be supplied with 256 GB SSDs inside.

Acer's new offering is also very light at 1.1 kg/ The laptop will be running Windows 10 out of the box.

The company also launched a couple of other laptops along wih Swift 7. The most notable of them was Spin 7 which is just milimeter thicker than Swift 7 yet it offers Core i7 processor, 360 degree roatation hinge and touch capabilitis.

The company launched a slew of laptops under Swift and Spin series. Swift 7 will be available in China from September and in US from Octoeber. The price of the notebook is $999. The Spin 7 on the other hand will cost the consumers $1199.
